Religious Education

'Religious education has been transformed because it has been placed at the heart of the curriculum. Leadership is passionate and effective.' - SIAMS 2020

As a church school, Religious Education is taught with a two-thirds to one-thirds split, with Christianity being the most taught religion and other religions making up the rest of the R.E. curriculum. We use the Diocese of Ely recommended Understanding Christianity scheme to teach Christianity and the Emmanuel Project to teach other world religions.

Every class has a Reflection Corner in which children can spend time to think, write questions or leave comments on a particular theme or question.

Collective worship takes place daily, and we have a church leader's assembly once-a-week as well as a group from GenR8 delivering assemblies based on bible stories every half-term.
